The following is a  gear list of the clothing and gear you should bring on your Canyon Country Birding Safari. Items that are provided by Desert DAWN are listed on the reverse side of this page. All your personal items should easily fit within a medium sized Duffel Bag. You may need to carry your personal gear a a few hundred yards from a vehicle to the camp.

Desert DAWN Provided Gear and Personal Care Items

Some of the gear that we use on our Camp Crafter style courses are a bit out of the ordinary in today’s high-tech world of backpacking or camper camping. We provide most of the gear giving you the opportunity to try this style of camping before investing in the gear. Many people find this style to be quite exciting and want to continue using the basic gear. If this happens to be you, we will help you find sources for the gear. The following items will be provided by Desert DAWN. If you have your favorite of these items, you may feel free to bring it. Please let us know if you plan to bring an item of gear so that we will not have it set aside for you.
